Stunning white beaches, challenging golf courses and world-famous fishing

Stunning white beaches, challenging golf courses and world-famous fishing describe the Emerald Coast city of Destin. Nestled mid-way between Panama City and Pensacola, Florida, Destin is famed for its sugar-white sands, emerald-hued waters, as well as its boating and fishing culture which has earned it the nickname of the “world’s luckiest fishing village.”

Destin offers great activities and annual events like the Harbor-Fest in September, an annual Celebration of Destin, and the Fishing Rodeo held each October where anglers of all ages fish for a chance at their share of over $100,000 in prizes.  Check out Destin’s 12 Nights of Lights during the entire month of December, where you’ll enjoy a festive light show set to favorite holiday music in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

And then there is Crab Island.  A local hot-spot, Crab Island is a submerged sandbar located on the bay side of the Marler Bridge.  It is covered with anywhere from two to ten feet of water at any time depending on the tide, making it a great place for kids to have fun in the water.  Not only is it gorgeous, but it’s the perfect spot to anchor and relax with friends and family on a hot summer day.  Activities abound with swimming, snorkeling, giant water trampolines, water slides and other fun stuff.  Best thing about it is you never have to leave for food or beverages; there are food barges that travel through with food, beverages, snacks, ice cream and even souvenirs.  Destin is another one of those “must see” places, and we can’t wait to take you there.
